Scottish American Military Society awards a special medal to the top rising senior of selected JROTC units each year

This award, the SAMS Medal, requires hard work on the part of the recipient through out his or her junior year. Excellence must be attained not only in academics but also in military acumen, i.e. marching, drilling, etc. The recipient is chosen by the Commander of the individual unit. A S.A.M.S representative will present the medal to the recipient at their JROTC Award ceremony.
