CCSNA Region 4 sends their condolences to the family of Sir Ivar Colquhoun and especially to Her Grace, Iona Colquhoun Campbell, wife of the 12th Duke of Argyll, the late Chief of Clan Campbell on the passing of Sir Ivar Colquhoun.

Sir Ivar Iain Colquhoun of Luss, 8th Bt. was born on 4 January 1916.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Iain Colquhoun of Luss, 7th Bt. and Geraldine Bryde Dinah Tennant.3 He married Kathleen Nimmo Duncan, daughter of Walter Atholl Duncan, on 17 April 1943.1

  Sir Ivar Iain Colquhoun of Luss, 8th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1945 in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He held the position of Chief of Clan Colquhoun in 1948.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [G.B., 1786] on 12 November 1948.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dunbartonshire in 1951.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dunbartonshire in 1952.1 He lived in 2003 at 26A Thorney Cres, Morgan's Walk, London, England.1 He lived in 2003 at Camstraddan, Luss, Argyllshire, Scotland.
